Brook is a cross-platform, programmable network proxy and VPN tool.

Always-on VPN Feature on the Android Client

Once you have successfully connected using the Brook Android client:

You will see Brook listed in the system's VPN settings. Tapping on it reveals two options:

• Always-on VPN
• Block connections without VPN

When Always-on VPN is enabled, the system automatically attempts to connect to the Brook VPN in the background whenever the device is powered on and has a network signal.

When Block connections without VPN is enabled, it acts as a system-wide network lock (Kill Switch) for Android. Once enabled, if the Brook VPN connection drops unexpectedly, the system immediately cuts off all network access at the OS level until the VPN reconnects, thereby completely preventing the leakage of your real IP address or unencrypted traffic.
